Laser Tag Convention 2010 Golden Phaser Award Winners The International Laser Tag Association is proud to announce the winners of the 2010 Golden Phaser Awards! Special thanks go out to all the nominees for their excellent submissions. Below are the entries that were selected for the winner in each catagory.
Best Briefing Video The clean and simplistic style also speaks family fun. Good use of sound effects and breaking down the mechanics of the game.
Best TV/Cable Commercial
When you only have 30-60 seconds to advertise your business to the public, every second counts. This video had a lot of competition and stood out enough to get the award. Click the image below to watch their commercial.
Best Print Ad
Blazer Tag's print ad shows how to create an effective flyer with great use of images, bright colors, information, and at the same time, not being overbearing in its contents. Click the image below to enlarge the image size.
Best Website
Like last year, the greatest number of submissions came for the best website catagory. It is excellent to see what operators are using to get their information across and customers in the door. As the selections were so well done, we had to choose two winners for this category. Both are GPA firsts, as the first winner is an outdoor laser tag site and the other is an international site. The first winner is Combat Sports Outdoor Laser Tag in Manalapan, New Jersey. The action really draws the user in and creates an excitement that makes it stand out from it's competition. Not only is this website complex, but easy to navigate, which is a hard thing to pull off, but Combat Sports did it nicely.
The second winner is Cosmic Laser out of Pontault-Combault, France. We were immediately drawn in by the music and technological feel to the site. Action menus, breifing video, interactive scorecard, commercial, and more helped this website grasp the award here.
Best Radio Spot Radio spots can be a hit or a miss for your business depending on your audience. LaserLite has had much success with their radio spot and conveys its information and stays family friendly at the same time. To hear this radio spot, click the image below.
Operator of the Year Winner: Jarett Waite - Laser Mania - St. George, UT
Jarett Waite took over this business from his father-in-law and has helped to make it a thriving business. Not only is Jarett looking to expand and open another facility, but also spends time to help educate others in the laser tag industry based on Laser Mania's experiences. Jarett has been quoted a number of times in trade publications such as Replay Magazine and has spoken at both Laser Tag Conventions. For these reasons, Jarett was selected for the 2010 Golden Phaser Award for being Operator of the Year.
